THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH

Here we are the happy couple, at our happy place. I'm not sure David agrees but it was fun and we had a good time. I know he will agree with that. The weather was great, not too hot, not too cold and the lines were probably as perfect as anyone could ask. We never waited more than 30 minutes, and we used the fast passes just to let us do more rides. We did so much, and yet I come home feeling like we missed a lot. Oh well, there's always next time!!!!

Ya have to have your picture taken with Mickey! This is a trick. We took it on our way out. We would arrive at the park first thing in the mornings, 9 for Disneyland and 10 for California Adventure, then we would leave around 3 or 4 to go home and relax, or lay by the pool and then go to dinner outside the park. We would then return to shop at the Disney Mall. There were several live bands and atmosphere galore. We also made it back to ride a couple more rides, watch the evening Fantasmic and fireworks and ride the Madderhorn at night.

Here are our daredevils. They would ride anything, anywhere.

Here are the "not so daredevils". This was just right for me and Christine. The ever so frightening JELLYFISH.

I think this was my all time favorite ride, California Screamin'. What a thrill!

TYLER!!! What's that I see??? Shame on you.

This is the Haunted Mansion. Do they look scared to you? !! They're trying. Tyler was very sure to remind us how his dad tricked him into getting on this ride when he was only 4 years old.

This is a bit hard for you to see, but our Jungle Ride boat broke down on the second turn into the ride and we had to be towed out. The best thing was they gave us all a fast pass for anytime we wanted!!

This was the first ride of the first day. Take note of the happy face.

I think Tyler is making the 'pirate face'; "Argh, Argh", Christine's got a hook there and David is just happy to be here.

That's the Disneyland tour in a nutshell. Until next trip, may all your wishes come true.

More old time pictures.

OK. This scanning thing has got me so up and down, I don't know how much David, or Kevin, are going to take of me. I was in tears this morning ready for drastic measures. Good ol' Kev just listens to me (not too much this morning because I wasn't doing much talking, to anyone) but he just came in and does his 'computer magic' and got it going for me. (Oh, I went and exchanged the other new printer for another printer that we couldn't get working either). Kevin has such patience and knowledge about these things. I don't know what I would have done without him. So it's only fair I start out with some pictures of him.

Remember what I said, everyone's got to have bath time pictures. In this it's doubly good because he's got the mirror there to admire himself. Maybe this is where the looking at his reflection anywhere he can find one came.

Here he's sleeping. This kid could sleep anywhere, and was sleeping through the nights consistently after 2 months old. He had to wear a corrective shoe at night.

Here is Leslie at Lake Powell. This would have been her first Lake Powell trip. I got the pictures in the wrong order. Here she has finished throwing the rock, and in this next photo you can see the rock in the air.

What is it with kids and throwing rocks into water. I think it's an international pass time.

I just had to throw this picture in. The girls love Rob and his short, shorts, with his boxers showing.

And at the end of the day you have to take a bath. This must have been early, or late in the season. I'm in jeans and we are bathing on the shore. Crazy.

I'm pooped. I have scanned over 70 pictures today. I'm going to take a break and go read some more of HOST.

Time; It goes by so quickly.

I bought myself a new printer so I could scan our old slides ( I wonder how many of you know what I'm talking about.) And I'm having some fun with it. I thought I would share with you some of my favorite pictures so far.

This is Andrea, probably about 6 - 9 months old. Cutie, huh?

This is Leslie in the infamous 'lion head drinking fountain' at Hogle Zoo. This was proably our first trip as a family to the zoo. Leslie's probably about 10 months old.

This is our darling little family at our very first house in Provo on 900 East. Andrea is just brand new, so Leslie's about 5 years - oh that's right they were closer than that. So maybe more like 16 months old.

This is me in our first apartment. I'm standing in the kitchen. Yep! It was gigantic. I could check on dinner, wash dishes and put the milk away without moving my feet.

Here's a picture of me, Leslie, my mom and Nana wrapped up in a blanket. What I would do with just a minute with those ladies. (I'm not sure why mom has a black eye, but she's HAPPY!)

And every family needs a bathtub picture. Sorry girls if you are embarrassed.
Well, this is great. And I'm sure you are all going to get sick of me showing off and talking about the good ol times.

Fun in the .. .. ... Not the sun!

We went away this holiday weekend. We were planning on going fishing at Strawberry, but the weather was not on our side. So, we made plans to go south and maybe find some warm air and sunshine . . . but we didn't. At least not much.

We hooked the 4 wheelers on and headed south on Friday. We got there in good time, once we passed all the traffic after Payson.

Here is a little travel log for you: The Christiansens were in Hurricane and had brought their 4 wheelers also, and Nancy's sister and brother in law rented some machines in Hurricane. We met there Saturday morning and took off on our 'beasts' right from town. It was an interesting ride. The first 7 miles were on the asphalt road and then another 7 miles of dirt road with no turns. We were headed somewhere, but it was taking awhile. It wasn't the most picturesque? But it's always fun to get out and ride and see the "world". We had a great time with good friends.

This was some weird thing we came upon, I called it the tire cemetary, but we think it may have been some way of catching water.

Here's Tyler finding where we are? We did have a map, but it wasn't too much help.

Here Christine is observing the 'tire cemetary' with amazement! She had a eye opening experience with getting to know our friends and riding the 4 wheeler. She was a bit nervous thinking that we didn't know where we were at all times.

Ok, here they are! The guys. David - not too happy about having his picture taken, and Tyler - still trying to find where we are. (To tell the truth, we were really very happy Tyler brought along his GPS).

Here is the lovely river bed we found for our lunch spot. It was pretty chilly all day long. We even got a little rain a time or two.

Look at the sky behind us, that's how it was all day. Yes, we did go to St. George. It's not the St. George I know. (That might be because this is in Hurricane.)

Helmet Heads! We had a great time. We went 58 miles this ride. WOW!
Didn't get pictures of the rest of the trip. (Send me some C) We went to Sacrament Meeting on Sunday morning. One of the members told David, we lowered their average age about 6 years. ONLY 6! I guess we were only 4 people to their 150. We went to Nancy's sister's place for a bar b q after church. The Butlers were in town too, so we all got together. It was so fun. The sun finally came out. It was still chilly though., and windy. We ate and played a silly game on the patio and visited. You'd think we never saw each other all the talking we can do.
Monday, David and Tyler waited around to hear from Tom about golfing, but never did hear so we got a late start to another ride. We went the other way to Bloomington this time. Still not real attractive, but great to get out. The air was still pretty cool when we were moving. Only excitement was a dead end trail we took that went up and up and up.
There you have it. Our weekend.

My Favorite Things

This is terrific. Yesterday my girls, Leslie and Andrea, let me take their girls, Kylee and Kaja for the afternoon. And I had to take these pictures to prove to them that their girls really did take naps at my house. To be honest, I'm pretty amazed myself. I layed between them and in about 15 minutes they were both "breathing loudly". When I told David about it he asked if I fell asleep first! HA! HA!

Aren't they precious. Tyler was worried that Kaja was going to suffocate. And notice Kylee soon took over my spot! Thanks girls for letting me take them.

Now here'a a picture of my pretty flower girls. David took the older girls on a walk when they were here for Sunday Dinner and they picked my flowers. And of course they have to say "cheese" for the camera.

I am truly blessed.

I am blessed, but let's get this picture out of the way. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?? SNOW? STILL? Well, stranger things have happened I suppose and I'm sure it's snowed even later into the year. In fact, I remember leaving my girlfriend's, Jana, wedding reception on June 7th to leave for Disneyland with my parents and we ran into snow in Nephi. So, it does happen. It is a beautiful sight though. I love the snow and appreciate it's necessity for our future, but I've had it.

Now for the fun stuff. Look at these cuties! I am blessed!

Here the kids are playing with Jaxon. He does look MAD, doesn't he?

Here's Kaja playing with Grandpa in the sand at Snow Canyon. (Funny name??) Some of us were hiding in the cars. It was getting late in the evening and it was cold and very windy. But, you know dad, he can't say no, and Kaja was not ready to leave the sand.

Look at Leslie's little gems. What happy girls they were this morning, and dressed so 'cutely' in their outfits from grandma Judy. They sure love each other. And actually they are pretty good with each other.
Here's another picture of Leslie's 'crew'. Aren't they adorable. And again, very happy girls. Les you are going to have fun with them in the years to come.

I love my kids! Oh and you too, Leslie, Andrea, Kevin and Tyler!!!
