I know I am very blessed by what my parents taught me and know that they loved me. I hope they know I love them.

I had am emotional last couple of days. But, it was mostly good. It just brought many sweet memories of two people I miss very much.
This last Saturday, the 20th, was my aunt Mary Etta's 80th birthday. It was also my mother-in-law's birthday and my granddaughter Jaycelyn's first birthday. My cousins Shauna and John invited me and the girls to dinner to celebrate. It was so good to see them all. It was a bit hard for me though to see Uncle Arnold and Aunt Betty and Aunt Mary Etta without dad. But I think he would be happy I was there to represent him.
AND . . I've already mentioned this, but they finally got their deer! We are pretty excited (even if we do have to have deer meat for the next several months.)
And then, yesterday would have been my mom's 82nd birthday. It was a beautiful day. The weather was gorgeous and I got to play with the grandkids. Here is Jaxon. He rolls around, and gets stuck under the cutting table.

It's been quite awhile since I have sent any info about our family. My life is full; busy and hectic. It's all good though. I am truly blessed and you will now see just how blessed I am.
Here's Tyler just leaving for the Priesthood Session. He forgot his Sunday clothes, so he raided Grandpa's (Dayle's) closet and came up with a dress shirt, a lovely and always in style sweater, and the best, you can't see. He wore GP's old working shoes. They are black loafer-like. The boys told us Tyler fit right in with the styles of Midway.
We spent a couple of days up at the cabin in Midway during the conference weekend. It was so beautiful. The girls had a great time. As you can see they love to have their picture taken. They posed for me.

Last night was the Women General Relief Society Meeting. It was very helpful, as always. I especially enjoyed it because my favorite girls were there with me. Leslie, Andrea, Nicole and Christine. What a special time for me. I can't help but miss my mom. No, she wouldn't have been there with me, but she is now always in my thoughts and heart. Thanks girls for making it a night to remember.

On with MY SUMMER VACATION.
Now we're in Lake Powell. It was a Jeffs' reunion, kind of. We had our week for the houseboat and so David's dad rented one and we spent the week together. We sure missed Leslie and Jared and Andrea and Paul and Christine.

David got hurt on the second day we were there. Water Weenies are fun, but be careful.

On with my "summer vacation" report. This was really a fun summer, and very busy.
The girls came over often to play in the pool. As you can see Kaja and Kylee found a way to be in the pool in all situations. They really like it when we made it a "wave" pool.
We had a shower for Christine, the newest member of our family. We had the party while she was still in school and right after school she went home to make and help with preparations for the wedding.

What I did on my Summer Vacation
School's back in session and remember the good old reports on "what I did on my summer vacation?" I'm taking the challenge! Yes, I am going to report to all of you my friends what I did on my summer vacation. And, was it crazy. I started putting pictures together and decided it was way too many. Too many great pictures and too many outings. So over the next few weeks I will post pictures of all the fun and exciting things that "Ma and Pa Jeffs" did in the summer of 2007. Hang on to your boots!

Kylee would really like to drive. Watch out mom and dad.

Cleaning the pond is always a must at the first of the season. How fun it is, too. Just ask Tyler
Jayce learned some new tricks. "Thanks for the pillows, for a soft landing, MOM".
We went to Strawberry Reservoir and camped. We fished and we played games and we relaxed
Kaja came over for a visit. She loves the water and the birdbath is just the right height to play in.
We (David) bought a new ??? fishing boat. Here's a question for you. Look at the picture carefully and tell me who's more excited?

A trip to Goblin Valley started our summer off. We went four wheeling and hiking. Can you see why they call it Goblin Vally? Can you find all the Goblins?
OK, kids. I know you're going to notice the sequence of events is not just right. Just keep those comments to yourselves and be glad I put you in my journal.

Summer Vacation
David and I recently went on an Alaskan Cruise with David's parents and our very good friends, Duane and Cyndy Butler. What a great time. And what a beautiful country.
