Last night was the Women General Relief Society Meeting. It was very helpful, as always. I especially enjoyed it because my favorite girls were there with me. Leslie, Andrea, Nicole and Christine. What a special time for me. I can't help but miss my mom. No, she wouldn't have been there with me, but she is now always in my thoughts and heart. Thanks girls for making it a night to remember.

OK girls, maybe not your best pictures, but good memories of times together.
I love you all.

On with MY SUMMER VACATION.
Now we're in Lake Powell. It was a Jeffs' reunion, kind of. We had our week for the houseboat and so David's dad rented one and we spent the week together. We sure missed Leslie and Jared and Andrea and Paul and Christine.

David got hurt on the second day we were there. Water Weenies are fun, but be careful.

Here's Kevin, Tyler and Greg on the water weenie. They spent almost 3 hours on it one day!

Kevin caught fish after fish after fish. And they were BIG and UGLY.

Here's Tyler, reflecting! Good color, huh?! Not to mention the Stud Muffin! He's missing his sweetheart. Christine had to go home and get ready for the wedding.

Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed the ride in the houseboat, reading and drinking!! I even have a picture of GP on his cell phone.

The weather was so hot this year; 112. But the nights were bearable, we slept well. And we swam a lot.

On with my "summer vacation" report. This was really a fun summer, and very busy.

The girls came over often to play in the pool. As you can see Kaja and Kylee found a way to be in the pool in all situations. They really like it when we made it a "wave" pool.

We had a shower for Christine, the newest member of our family. We had the party while she was still in school and right after school she went home to make and help with preparations for the wedding.
We played games in the backyard with all the kids around. We have got to learn the correct rules for crochet. It seems each family has his or her own rules that their family have gone by for years.
We spent time getting Tyler and Christine's 'house' ready. They did a lot of work at painting the whole place. They added a touch of color to the back 2 bedrooms, and then we went with a nice off white color for the rest of the rooms.

What I did on my Summer Vacation

School's back in session and remember the good old reports on "what I did on my summer vacation?" I'm taking the challenge! Yes, I am going to report to all of you my friends what I did on my summer vacation. And, was it crazy. I started putting pictures together and decided it was way too many. Too many great pictures and too many outings. So over the next few weeks I will post pictures of all the fun and exciting things that "Ma and Pa Jeffs" did in the summer of 2007. Hang on to your boots!

Kylee would really like to drive. Watch out mom and dad.

Cleaning the pond is always a must at the first of the season. How fun it is, too. Just ask Tyler

Jayce learned some new tricks. "Thanks for the pillows, for a soft landing, MOM".

Kevin's imitation of a fish is not too bad. (He's got the lips for it.) Hey, I'm jealous.
We went to Strawberry Reservoir and camped. We fished and we played games and we relaxed

Kaja came over for a visit. She loves the water and the birdbath is just the right height to play in.
Precious baby Jax was born on May 8th. What a treasure.

We (David) bought a new ??? fishing boat. Here's a question for you. Look at the picture carefully and tell me who's more excited?

A trip to Goblin Valley started our summer off. We went four wheeling and hiking. Can you see why they call it Goblin Vally? Can you find all the Goblins?
OK, kids. I know you're going to notice the sequence of events is not just right. Just keep those comments to yourselves and be glad I put you in my journal.

Summer Vacation

David and I recently went on an Alaskan Cruise with David's parents and our very good friends, Duane and Cyndy Butler. What a great time. And what a beautiful country.
