It's Not Discusting!

I just have to share this with you. My very good friend Cindy Hatch, CH as David and I affectionately call her, gave this Neti Pot to me yesterday. She came over Friday to give me a roast to cook for our Sunday Luncheon with the Leadership of the Stake and saw evidence that I have young grandchildren; she saw a blue bulb syringe by the kitchen sink. I laughed, and told her that was for me. Dr. Pete told me with that my sinus infection a nasal cleansing would be good. He suggested I use a syringe to do the "trick". Leslie had a new one and let me have it. Well, it wasn't a lot of fun, and I couldn't really make it work very well.

CH and I had a laugh, and then low and behold yesterday she shows up with a pretty package for me. I opened it right then in front of my Stake friends and we laughed so hard and told funny stories. I was so excited! I just had to tell David. I quickly went to show him my new POT. He was "impressed". On my way back to our office I ran into other fellow leaders and showed them my new POT. Most of them (they were all men) were grossed out and discusted, shown by their wrinkled up faces! Well, this morning I tried it and it was so fun! I actually got it to work and was almost tempted to fill it and do the cleansing all over again, but I gotta go and get to work. I will be doing it again and can hardly wait. It really does make me feel better. Thanks CH - love ya.

Cutest Grandkids on the Planet

I thought I would share with you the cutest kids I know. Too bad Regis and Kelly don't agree. Who cares what they think anyway.

Here's Kaja, very determinedly coloring. This is one of her favorite past times. She's very determined. She makes such beautiful art work.

This is a great shot of Kylee sleeping. Doesn't look too comfortable. She will fight the sleep like crazy, but when she can't fight it anymore, she sleeps like a lead balloon. She is so peaceful.

And Happy Little Jaxon!. His smile is catching. He makes all of us smile even if we don't feel like smiling. He can give us a smile even when he's sick.

And sweet baby Emily. This is what she does a lot, sleep. I wish I could sleep as much as she does. Well, maybe for a day. Isn't she just the cutest!

Funny precious Jaycelyn! She crawled under the chair to find some popcorn - and got stuck. She can sniff out the food anywhere no matter the consequences.

Fun in the snow with Kylee

Leslie came into town for Emily's first Doctor's appointment so she and the girls stayed with me at the house for a few hours. The snow was so tempting. I haven't really played in the snow for so long.

We put these glasses on one of the snow men, but Kylee wanted to wear them instead. I had to find other glasses for her snowman.

This is Kylee's snowman! Seriously! She can roll the snow and everything. She did it better than me. I had to 'manually' adjust my snowman. (below) She told me her dad taught her how.

This is my snowman. Like the eyes and nose? They are a sprinkler. It's hard to find rocks when the snow is covering everything in sight.

I had to ask Kylee to make an angel again. I missed her the first time. Sorry about the photography.

Stake Relief Society Presidency

On Tuesday I went to the Temple with my very good friends and Stake Relief Society Presidency sisters. We had a great time and it was a very special experience to be in the Temple to pray and concentrate on our members of the BYU 12th Stake. I am so blessed to be surrounded by these lovely ladies who have come to mean so much to me. I wanted you all to see them.
Of course, there's me, then Sister Charlene Robbins from Santaquin, her husband is a High Council Member or our Stake, Sister Cindy Hatch from American Fork, her husband is the Stake President. Sister Cathy Ash is from Orem, she is in our home Stake and has been a good friend for a very long time. Her husband is a Bishop in our Stake. Sister Laura Smith is from Orem, her husband is the 1st Counselor in our Stake Presidency. Oh, David, my husband, is the 2nd Counselor in the Stake Presidency.

David and I took Kylee Friday night so Leslie and Jared could get a well needed rest. And they got it. I think they were able to sleep until 9 am Saturday morning. That's something they haven't been able to do for a long time. Jayce got them up at 6 am, but went back to sleep. So Leslie and Jared and Emily were able to keep on sleeping. AND . . to make it even better, Kylee and I didn't get up until 8 am. It was a good morning for everyone. Of course, David was up - who knows when - working at getting his study straightened.

Kylee loves to do puzzles. She makes a pile of them. She starts from the top and moves on down, doing them all herself.
We had everyone over for dinner and fun to celebrate Tyler's birthday. After everyone had left Kylee laid down with Tyler and Christine and fell asleep around 9 pm. Before she laid down, she told me she loved Christine. I asked her if she loved me, she said NO. I asked her if she loved Tyler, she said NO. I asked if she loved Grandpa, she said NO. Apparently she can only love one person at a time. And Christine was her favorite Friday night. Christine will get down on the floor with her and color and read books.
