Sunday Family Time

On Sunday Leslie had invited us over for dinner and FHE. As a family we take turns doing a FHE once a month. Leslie's turn to do FHE is really tonight, but we had some other things going so she thought she'd do it on Sunday and we could also celebrate St. Patrick's day! She made us sherbet and lemon-lime drinks and had a treasure hunt for the little kids with a little box of candy for the treasure. Tyler went around with Kylee and Jaycelyn.

After a very delicious dinner of Shepherd's pie (this is as Irish as this family can get- we're not to excited about the cabbage and corn beef thing), we went outside to work it off. For Christmas we gave Kylee and Jayce these scooter bike things. Everyone got in on the fun. Here's Christine doing tricks.

Tyler was doing tricks too, but slumped down after Leslie made a comment about him teaching her girls bad things.

There were a couple of neighbor kids in on the fun. They were trying to see if they could coast to the corner. They did, but not without some wiggling!

Tyler and Christine - always being a bit cheezy!

WEEEEEEE! My kids used to do this same kind of thing in an old blue plastic wagon at my parent's house many years ago. We have fond memories of those times. In fact, I still have the wagon and occasionally you will see the grandkids pulling each other around in it. I even have pictures of Tyler doing it last year!! Some of us never grow up!

Go Christine! I think the big kids were a bit disappointed when the little kids came and wanted to ride the bikes. But, they all shared very well and there were no tears.

Little Emily enjoyed the ride with her mommy! She didn't want to stop.

Jayce traded with the neighbor for a ride on her scooter. Although, it was a bit frightning going down the driveway. Soooo . . . .

She sat down on it!

Kylee likes to ride fast, so mom and dad made her put on her helmet.

Kylee rides pretty good, but she won't let her dad take off the training wheels yet!

Jayce, still sitting. She was like this more than she was standing on it.

Who's having more fun? Leslie or Emily?
I love our time together. And I love my kids.
