Flaming Gorge

We have had one crazy August! David and I went with Jim and his family to Flaming Gorge. WOW! What a beautiful place. It was really hot though during the day, but the nights were just right. We split up doing meals, and MAN did we eat well. Everyone tried to do their best food.
We got in a little fishing and a little 'fun' boating and visiting. It was a great camping trip. I really missed MY family though. Better luck next time in scheduling.

It's hard to tell who this is? It's grandma. She and Deanna came along with David and me in our little fishing boat. It was really quite hot and so she covered up as to not get too much sun.

Ah, the ol' Santa. He's been sitting out on our back porch for some time now knowing it was his time to go. David put him in the back of the truck knowing this would be a good time to send him off. It was very sad. We had a few moments of silence and set the blaze. This ol' piece of wood served us well.

This is one of the fun time boating trips. Makayla really got in to it all.

We were able to enjoy a couple of good fire - sides. I love it. We had some great laughs.

As you can see everyone can join in with their stories.

There really is nothing like sitting around the campfire with family.

AND here's David helping out with the setting up of tents. Notice the beautiful background.

I laughed my head off when I saw that Santa burning. Yes, I had one of those as well, maybe we did them together, I don't remember. Anyway, mine went bye-bye as well. However, I am sure it was in broken off pieces in our house fireplace. How funny. Well, he served his purpose well and all good things must come to an end. If you are made of wood, you can't expect to go any other way!!! Too funny. Miss ya....Arlene
